Beginning in 1969 as the Texas Tech University School of Medicine, the Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center is now a six-school university with campuses in Abilene, Amarillo, Dallas/Fort Worth, Lubbock and the Permian Basin (Midland & Odessa). Find out more about each campus below.

Our academic programs rank among the top in the nation, and our faculty and students are recognized for their accomplishments on regional, national and international levels. At the Lubbock campus, you will find the School of Allied Health Sciences, School of Medicine, School of Nursing, School of Pharmacy, the Graduate School of Biomedical Sciences, and the Julia Jones Matthews School of Population and Public Health. Our medical practice teams, the Texas Tech Physicians, specialize in preventative medicine, expert diagnosis and innovative treatment.

Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center is a nationally-recognized leader in managed health care, providing health care services for correctional facilities across West Texas. Our high standard of service is evidenced by the fact that all State Correctional facilities that receive health care services from TTUHSC are accredited by the American Correctional Association (ACA). Not only are our team members working in a safe, supportive environment, they are providing medical care and services to patients with great need who often have never had access to these services before.

The TTUHSC campus at Permian Basin includes the School of Allied Health Sciences, the School of Medicine, the School of Nursing and the Texas Tech Physicians medical practice.
