When Dawn Olivieri signed up to play Sarah Atwood in Yellowstone, she knew what was in line for her character, or at the very least, she felt how her story might end. Known for her penchant for complicated and morally ambiguous characters, the actress starred as the girlfriend of Jamie Dutton, the adopted son of John Dutton.

Just as the actress expected, the third episode of Yellowstone’s season 5B sealed the fate of Sarah after she got ‘hit’ by the train station. After being revealed that it was her who had Kevin Costner‘s John Dutton killed, the latest episode finally saw karma catching up with her.

In the latest episode, the investigation regarding John Dutton’s death is reopened thanks to the efforts of Beth and Kayce Dutton. This leads to those who had him killed, aka Sarah, Jamie, and the man who they hired, panic. Before they can make sense of the situation, Sarah Atwood is riddled with bullets by unknown assailants.

Left for dead in the car, the character finally met her end due to her own deeds. Talking to The Hollywood Reporter recently, Olivieri revealed it was an ending that she had expected and also stated that fans should not mourn her just now, for Taylor Sheridan has already set plans in motion to her her ‘reincarnated.’

Dawn Olivieri first crossed paths with Taylor Sheridan when she was cast as Claire Dutton in the Yellowstone prequel 1883. As luck would have it, she was roped in to play the fan-favorite villain, Sarah Atwood in Yellowstone, right after meeting her death in the prequel.

And now, the actress has achieved a feat that no other actor has, for right after her death in Yellowstone, Sheridan has already signed up for another potentially diabolical character in the next season of his series, Lioness. In an exclusive interview with The Hollywood Reporter, Olivieri confirmed her casting in the hit Zoe Saldana and Nicole Kidman-starrer series.

Slated to appear in the December first episode of the series, the actress also revealed that it is a totally different kind of role compared to her previous roles in the Sheridan-verse. Well, with Sarah gone and her actions still creating ripples in the world of Yellowstone, we can hardly wait to see what Dawn Olivieri will unleash in Lioness.
